On the morning of October 29, the Jiaozhou Bay Second Tunnel Project Ceremony was held in Qingdao West Coast New District. Several excavator equipment participated in the groundbreaking ceremony. It is reported that the Second Jiaozhou Bay Tunnel is a submarine tunnel project connecting the main urban area of Qingdao and the new west coast area. It is located in the sea area of Jiaozhou Bay in Qingdao City. It is an important part of the "six horizontal and nine vertical" high-speed road network in downtown Qingdao. The project starts from Huaihe East Road in Qingdao West Coast New District to the east along the lower Liugongdao Road, crosses Jiaozhou Bay, and arrives near Qingdao Port, and connects Qingdao East Coast City at the mouth of Haibo River. The main line of the project is 17.89 kilometers long, of which the tunnel is 15.89 kilometers long (11.2 kilometers in the sea area + 4.69 kilometers in the land area); the main tunnel with two holes and six lanes and an intermediate service tunnel are arranged, and the deepest point is 155 meters from the sea level. The outer diameter of the shield section is 15.8 meters. The project is constructed in accordance with the standard of urban expressway and first-class highway, with a design life of 100 years, a safety level of one, a seismic fortification intensity of 7 degrees, and a design speed of 80 km/h. The main vehicles are passenger transport and freight transport. In order to achieve multi-level deconstruction of tunnel traffic flow, 1 main + N auxiliary multiple entrances and exits were set up on both sides of the bank.
The Second Jiaozhou Bay Tunnel will be the largest undersea tunnel construction, the longest undersea highway tunnel, and the most complicated super project in the tunnel field in the history of the world’s construction. It will break through the ventilation and disaster prevention of super-long tunnels, and large-section tunnels will pass through large-scale tunnels. Fracture, the docking of the super-large-diameter shield with the drilling and blasting tunnel in the sea, and the super-large-diameter shield withstanding super-high water pressure and other world-class problems, will lead the future of the world’s ultra-long sea-crossing channel construction and development, and will also become China’s strategy for a powerful country in the new era of transportation An important milestone in the field of benchmarking and engineering construction.
Both the hydraulic clamshell and the excavator telescopic boom will participate in the whole process, and cooperate with other engineering facilities to contribute to this challenging project.
