The excavator is mainly divided into three parts, the chassis assembly commonly known as the crawler, the working device assembly commonly known as the excavator dipper arm, and the upper platform assembly commonly known as the cab.
Chassis assembly function:
1. Support the weight of the upper part of the excavator
2. Power source and actuator for walking and steering
3. The reaction force when supporting the working device during excavation
Upper platform assembly:
1. Support the entire upper structural components
2. Articulated working device, supporting point of working device
3. The working platform of the entire excavator
The upper platform assembly is mainly divided into eight parts: platform, hydraulic system, power system, air conditioning system, electrical system, counterweight, cover, and cab. In addition, there are lampshade plates, silicone oil damping, battery cover and other parts.
Working device assembly:
Working devices are one of the main components of hydraulic excavators. Due to different uses and requirements, there are many types of working devices. The most common ones are backhoe devices, front shovel devices, lifting devices, grab devices, crushing devices, etc. In fact, the several devices mentioned here are what we commonly call excavator dipper arm. According to different types of excavator dipper arm, the work and capabilities of excavators will be different. Excavators of different models and tonnages require different sizes of excavator dipper arm .
The excavator dipper arm is composed of bucket assembly, stick assembly, boom assembly, bucket cylinder assembly, stick cylinder assembly, and boom cylinder assembly.
Therefore, the excavator dipper arm is an indispensable part of the three major components of the excavator, and it is the most special part, because it can be modified according to different projects, which also reflects its variability. It can be said that different functions of the excavator are realized through this part.
